Present perfect.
I was so worried and excited at the same time when mama was opening the gift that I gave her for her birthday.
I was having bad thoughts that she might not like it or it won’t fit her (I gave her a pair of sandals, btw).
I already knew her weaknesses so I already know what to give her.. to my surprise, she liked it and it was just her size. Saya! :D
